Old Boots left this review about The Place (at the Crown Hotel)
A bar tucked away at the far end of one of Harrogate's poshest hotels. The hotel is a magnificent late victorian edifice the bar less so, rather blander and more modern. Disappointing range of kegs. As it's opposite the superlative Old Bell and round the corner from the JDW I wouldn't trouble myself to visit this one.

I noticed the other night it now has a couple of Black Sheep Bitter light up pumps but I didn't try any.
