A modern building softened by the porch running around the exterior, the pub retaind two very distinct rooms. The main entrance leads to a small, smart lounge with a sofa and some more traditional furniture while around the side there is a public bar with Sky Sports flat screen, pool and darts. The decor here is similar to the lounge, slatted blinds on the windows and some seating booths and all very neat and tidy.
A McMullens tied house with three handpumps but only two dispensing on my trip AK and a decent Country Bitter,£3.30.There is a small suntrap terrace at the front for outside drinking, and although the ale range is nothing special, this is the best bet for a pint among the three pubs near the station.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Maltsters

Fairly basic McMullens pub, but the staff were friendly enough and the 'Cask' was on good form.

The Maltsters is a modern pub and i quite liked the look of this from the outside, this is one of three pubs that are fairly close to Cheshunt train station and thought it was the best of the three.
The pub was quite smart inside and also very comfortable, this pub is a McMullens tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of McMullens AK bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was McMullens Country bitter.
I quite liked this pub.
