Real Ale Ray left this review about Overdraft

A slightly younger drinkers haunt, compared to the nearby Clockmakers and the Witches Brew. The staff were young and hip and the service comprised of one person pouring your beer and the second taking payment. Four cask beers and a numerous keg choice, so we went for the Red Cat and Siren Undercurrant, obviously priced ok, compared to their keg offerings. The main feature in here was the original oak herringbone patterned floor.

To all intents and purposes this is a micropub, the only thing going against that particular grain is they have evening DJ nights by way of a small desk, home to a couple of turntables, this wasn't a problem however on a Sunday afternoon. It's a small downstairs single room shop conversion, simply laid out with some high backed ,leather clad benches as well as some more basic wooden bench and tables. Beer wise there were five cask beers via stillage from the likes of Vibrant Forest , Electric Bear,8 Arch and others, 9 craft keg from Northern Monk. Siren,Kona, Tempest amongst others also 3 Ciders, all cask were £3.30 a pint, keg started at £4.60 upwards.A good find in an area where good finds are hard to come by.
