Called in prior ro going to the Derby beer festival so it was early and very quiet. The range of Derby beers produced a new one for us, Checkmate 4%, and we also had Business as Usual 4.4% one of the established beers. There were a few guest beers and an interesting if slightly expensive food menu to cater for light bites as well as normal pub grub. Liked the style of the pictures on the walls. Third pint taster trays available too.

This pub has now been closed for over twelve months and boarded up, did have character unfortunately mismanaged and hence closed as there is a place for this pub on the Derby map.
