Alex Conway left this review about The Pear Tree

the Pear tree was the first of our Keyworth pubs on a recent crawl and it was good to get the worst out the way first as the experience was painfully mundane. Average looking post war pub in the home ales style (guessing) but now completely opened u into one square room with a mixture of wooden floors and carpets. Now owned by Heiniken there were no distinguishing features whatsoever with the most generic plain pubco decor. There were four pulls on the bar, all reversed with nothing exciting (Doombore/ Theakstons/Golden hen) so it was a ridiculously overpriced pint of Amstel (£3.90)on a hot day of which we were the only customers at 2PM on a Saturday in August. Carry on like this and it wont see next august. Overall very disappointing, big, empty, soulless and just plain boring, not one to bother with really.
