Owners Sam Smith’s Brewery of Tadcaster applied for controlled demolition to Gedling Borough Council (GBC) and informed residents with a notice on the pub dated August 11, with demolition set for October 5.Local action group Future Newstead has objected to the plan and around 50 residents have already rallied behind an anti-demolition petition.
