Alan Winfield left this review about Blue Bell Inn

The Blue Bell is situated in the middle of Long Eaton on the pedestrianised high street.
This pub is known locally as the Bass house because it was a Bass house,i did a lot of dinner time drinking in this pub in the late 70s and early 80s.
The pub has now lost its two room layout and is now a single roomed pub which is L shaped with the bar facing and a small raised area to the right, the room extends quite a way to the rear left.
The seating was small sections of bench type with small stools, the bar area was for stand up drinking, there was a real fire on the go and a TV showing some gardening programme.
To my surprise there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Pedigree which was a very nice drink and a bargain at £2.00 a pint the other beer was Hobgoblin.
The pub was fairly busy with a mixed bunch in on my mid Monday afternoon visit.
I found this pub to better than i thought it would be.
