We've called in many times since my original review, the latest time being yesterday afternoon. They're now up to 4 handpumps and all 4 were in use. Two beers from Pictish, one from Acorn and a Phoenix one. The Pictish El Diablo was in good nick as was the Pictish Brewer's Gold. I've always liked it in here and will continue to visit regularly.

Tiny, bare floorboarded Belgian style bar. Specialises in fruit beers and unusual lagers, but also has two handpumps. When we call in there's often only one of these in use and it usually has a Phoenix beer on. It's pretty well kept though and it did make the GBG a couple of years ago. It's quite atmospheric and buzzy. It's a decent little bar.

Nifty little bar just up the road from the Granada Studios so you're likely to see a Coronation St actor or actress in here at the right time. Around 3 varied local ales on, a selection of eclectic kegs, and a good bottle selection. At lunchtimes this place allows punters to bring in their own food, usually fish and chips from the chippy next door.

Very pleasant bar off Deansgate which always has one or two local ales on tap - on my most recent visit, Lancaster Blonde which was in good nick and perfect for a balmy May afternoon. On previous visits I've chosen to mainly partake in the lagers on offer, of which there are plenty, and this was my first visit to take advantage of the shaded outdoor patio area with a few pals. Nothing world-beating in terms of interior or beer range but well worth a stop if in the area.
