Alan Winfield left this review about Libertys

Liberty's was a large bar that opened in the mid 90s.
This was in my opinion the roughest of all the rough bars that were on this small stretch of Upper Parliament street, with the demise of all but Foxys this is now a safer area to drink.

Once inside there was one very large single oblong shaped room which ran to the rear, there was a long bar running down the right side, the room was carpeted and the seating tall tables and chairs in the middle area and raised bench seating down the left side.
The pub was run by Bass and only had keg bitters on the bar.
The Itchy guide to Nottingham said in its review of the pub "full of bruisers covered in tattoos and that was the women"
I only visited the pub a couple of times and was pleased to get out without a good kicking.
This is one pub i am not sorry to see gone for good.
