Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Court House

Overlooking Mansfield's Market Place, this is quite a prominent building with no prizes for guessing what it used to be. It's the kind of place that Wetherspoon's liked to take over and indeed it was owned by Wetherspoon's around 10 years ago but whilst this place does open early in the morning and has a similar clientele to a 'spoon's, the pub does not stock real ale. The keg choice was Moretti, Guinness, Carling, Coors, John Smith's, Magner's Dark Fruit, Carlsberg, Strongbow, Corona & Fosters.

Whilst the exterior of the building is of interest, the interior has no vestiges of the former court house that I could find. I'll leave this one to the alcoholics. Oh, wait!

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Court House

Housed in a splendid looking building that was built in 1867 and was used as the town's courthouse. This pub was also a Spoons outlet about three years ago and some of the Spoons fixtures are still evident, such as some wood panelling and the black granite bar counter. The pub menus are similar to Spoons, with their daily specials. The pub is carpeted throughout and a lot of the walls were painted in white, apart from a hideous blue section near the front entrance. Five handpumps with two in use, offering St Austell Tribute and Milestone Lion's Pride.

Danny O'Revey left this review about The Court House

Nice looking pub from outside, based on Market Square, however its rather uneventful inside. One main room and an off shoot to the side for a quieter space, with bar serving area in main room on back wall.

All standard pub fittings and carpets, all a little worn and all very average, except the beer quality which was actually quite good. Wetherspoons in disguise.
