The Draper’s Arms is a long and thin Wetherspoons with high tables and beer shelves with stools around thick pillars at the front of the pub. Booth seating runs down the left wall opposite the bar that runs down the right and at the rear is open plan seating. A couple of televisions were showing muted World Cup football build up, expect rolling news any other time. The bar supports standard and premium keg as well as 12 hand pumps that were drawing Titanic’s Plum Porter, Bateman’s Rosey Nosey, Greene King Fireside, Nethergate’s Growler, Frome Brewing’s Gulp IPA, Grainstore’s Ten Fifty and Brewster’s Hophead plus the usual mainstream suspects. I found the service to be efficient and thought this to easily be the better of the two Spoons in town.

A long, narrow Spoons with lots of dark woodwork and a nice buzz of conversation. Six guest ales on, including 3 Christmas brews. It felt generally better run and had more character than many - I quite liked this one.

Old Boots left this review about The Draper's Arms (JD Wetherspoon)

Long thin spoons with a snaking counter. A bit dark and crammed like many spoons conversions although better quality all round than the College Arms. It is probably the more popular of the two in Peterborough with good reason, and is GBG 2019 listed.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Draper's Arms (JD Wetherspoon)

The name explains the original purpose of this 1899 building, but it has converted into a 'spoons quite well since it is not just one big rectangular space. It benefits from having a variety of different seating / dining areas, including a number of booths, with the only real downside being the dark woodwork making some areas away from the front windows feel a bit gloomy. Going back to the positives, the broad selection of real ales from a total of ten handpumps was pretty good; for example, away from the usual suspects, there were two from Brewsters: Summer Down Under and Hophead (£2.29, and very flavoursome for a 3.5% beer).

Rammed on my Saturday lunchtime visit , we managed to grab the last free table towards the rear , we intended to have breakfast here but just missed the 12 o`clock cutoff thanks to road closures on the way , so settled for a burger instead .
Service was quick and the beer choice pretty good , i had a Brewsters Hop Head which was spot on.
Decent enough spoons this .

It doesn't look like a 'spoons from the outside,a clever shop conversion with original plate glass windows with attractive stained glass pattern at the top. Internally there is a lot of wood panelling and a series of seating booths all the way along the lefthand wall.Substantial square columns indicate that this may have been two premises at some stage but the overall effect gives an authentic pub feel.Only the fruit machines and menus on every table give the game away. The interior is quite dark, although there are roof lights above the bar,and more extensively at the rear when there is a square area full of dining type tables.
The 10 handpumps are all at the front and were dispensing the usual Doom Bar ,GK Abbott and Ruddles Best, with guests of Woodforde Wherry,Brewster Hop Head,Newby Wyke Black Beards,Wychwood Dry Neck and GrainStore Ten Fifty (in very good nick) with two pumps unclipped. There is a community feel here with a Wednesday Quiz and poety evenings.
One of the better 'spoons, interesting ale range and pleasant surrounding, quite close to the station so an obvious choice to start or finish a real ale crawl.Deserves it's GBG status.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Draper's Arms (JD Wetherspoon)

The service in here was fast and efficient, even when the place was busy. The only problem I had at the bar was that some of the local regulars seemed to think they had priority at the bar and enjoyed jumping the queue. My patience prevailed and I settled on a Peerless IPA, which was a strong ale and too malty for my taste. Ten handpumps on the bar, so went for the Butcombe Gold, which was a better session beer for a crawl.

Aqualung . left this review about The Draper's Arms (JD Wetherspoon)

This seems to be an old school Spoons but didn't open as a JDW until 2005. The reason may be that prior to that it was a pub called the Old Monk.
It's a long narrow room with the bar on the right and some booths on the left. There are ten hand pumps on the bar that on my visit had the two GK Beers, Doom Bore, Directors, Woodforde Wherry, Jennings Pigs Might Fly, Brewster's Hophead, Adnam's Old, Oakham Bishop's Farewell and Cairngorm Wild Cat. I went for the local Hophead (£2.25) which was outstanding.
Overall this is one of the better Spoons but a less mainstream beer selection would be appreciated. It's rightly GBG 2016 listed.

Routine Wetherspoons but at least the service was quite quick. This is the better of the two Wetherspoons in town though. As ETA says, to be included for the ale choice but not somewhere you will want to linger.

E TA left this review about The Draper's Arms (JD Wetherspoon)

This typical JDW full of social rejects (OK, and a few normal people), unleashed children and slow, amateurish staff (apart from the lady with OCD who was quite charming) occupies a narrow shop front, formerly a textiles factory and carpet shop, and is the first pub you come to on entering the run-down high street area from the station end. There is little by way of atmosphere and the mood is one of depression. Five ales plus 1 Dutch, 1 German and 1 Czech beer on draft. I had a pint of Bateman's Springtime Oatmeal Beer which wasn't that inspiring. The wifi doesn't work properly. Include on a crawl for the beer choice, but I really wouldn't want to spend an evening here.
