Will Larter left this review about Six Barrel Drafthouse Victoria

This is a nicely done re-imagining of the old pub now replaced by what is almost a facsimile of the pub with the same name in the centre of town. Rough walls with the plaster hacked off, a fireplace with the paint approximately stripped, this is a look that is seen far too often in pubs these days, but here at least it feels genuine. That is, there was clearly plaster on the walls, clearly the fireplace had been painted, whereas in some instances this style is achieved by first painting some wood, then making it look like it's been stripped. Also pretty good were the beers, four of them on six hand pumps; I went for Ossett Silver King, a beer I have shunned for several years. I spent some of the time during lockdowns trying out beers that would normally be outside my preference, and I'm now trying to extend this somewhat to include beers in pubs. This is a strange beer, tasting somewhat like passion fruit or peach, but after a few swallows there's a bitterness that replaces the fruit - now, if they could do that without having to go through the fruit juice, they might be onto something. All this good stuff has to have a downside, and here it was some pretty dreadful pop music played at a volume that made it hard to ignore. It might not be enough top keep me from coming back another time.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Bensons

This pub used to be a Shipstones tied house in the 80s and it has had lots of different names.
The pub has been opened out into one longish room with different drinking areas the bar faces you as you enter.
This pub has always stocked real ale in the past but i have heard that it does'nt anymore.

Update: Bensons is now called Keogh's,it is pretty much the same inside but now has bare boards.
There was one real ale on the bar this was Theakston Old Peculiar and this was a decent drink.
It is nice to see real ale back in this pub.
