By the time we reached this, the seventh pub on our tour of Norwich, I was perhaps a little fatigued by the incredible amount of choice. Whatever the reason, I was considerably less impressed by the Plasterers than the Duke of Wellington or the Kings Head. My notes say "nice back street local", but clearly others have seen more in it than that. Certainly there is no lack of choice, with 10 real ales and a cider, but sometimes I find myself wishing for just a hand pump or two with a reliably well kept ordinary bitter - a sort of palate cleanser before the next amuse bouche.

The Plasterers is a tremendous and atmospheric street corner local which attracts much wider support.
The pub is quite compact with the bar in the centre and the main area surrounding it. There's also a small room behind the bar and another at the back of the pub.
It's traditional in style but feels welcoming and well looked after with dried flowers displayed in colourful craft beer tins on every table. There's also a telly in the left hand corner which had the rugby on during our early evening visit.
At the back is a kitchen where Voodoo Daddy pizzas are based. They operate independently of the pub and produce very good, adventurous, stone baked pizzas. It's worth visiting for these alone.
The welcome from both staff and locals is friendly and they really know their beer here.
On handpump was: Oakham JHB, Golden Triangle City Gold, Moongazer Topis Tipple, People's Imperial Stout, Hammerton N1, Siren Vermont Tea Party, Humpty Dumpty Shaltai Boltai, Totally Brewed Punch in the Face IPA, Abbeydale Frolicker, Wild Weather BA Strawberries, Electric Bear NZ Pale and Lacons Oatmeal Stout. A great range with many different styles and some local breweries represented. A subsequent visit found the range just as good, if not better. Everything I tried was excellent.
There's also an extensive menu of wines, spirits, canned and bottled beers.
My favourite of those I visited in Norwich.

Super pub- little changed in the decades since I was last here. Redecorated and with 10 ales plus 2 ciders on handpulls - every trendy style of ale- but no traditional bitter? Would have scored 10.

First time visit to this pub while in Norwich last week, and really enjoyed ales from Grain and Golden Triangle breweries. Pub was friendly and beers well kept. We called in again and found a lot of the beers had changed, and had beers from Beeston and Nethergate breweries this time round. Certainly a good pub to have on crawl of good ale pubs in Norwich. Couldn't resist buying a Wagon Wheel to eat as we left the bar too.

Another good pub in the area and well worth a visit. The pub consists of a central bar and there was also a snug to the back of the pub. On the left hand side of the bar, was a smaller room where you could play bar billiards. The interior of the pub has kept it's orgininal features, even though most of the timberwork is painted. There's also a wood burning stove. The staff were friendly and very knowledgable about their ales. I didn't expect this pub to have 11 ales on handpump, which was very welcoming. I went for the Great Yarmouth Brewery Identity, Winters Golden Ale, Growler Bitter and Buffy IPA.

The Plasterers Arms is a small back street pub that is fairly close to the city centre.
When i first went in this pub it was a free house then Adnams ran it for a number of years but they then sold it.
The pub is pretty much unaltered inside and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Adnams Broadside and this was a decent drink the other beer was GK IPA.
I quite liked this pub.
