Previously The Cork and Bottle, the building, Ferry House, is late Victorian and was originally the offices of a shipping company. The pub takes up the ground floor and consists of a large, high-ceilinged main bar plus two smaller bar areas. There is no garden, but there is some outside seating, and it doesn’t have its own carpark though there is ample parking nearby. It has the usual JDW tv screen showing BBC news, and a few mute gaming machines. There only seemed to be 2 young staff on and one of these was rather unhelpful. Ten handpumps operating, dispensing Abbott, Ruddles, Doombar, Great Dane lager from Stonehenge, Naked Bliss from Terrapin (an American brewery) and Upham Fields of Gold. Convenient for the Ocean Village marina and very much better value than the over-priced marina lounge bars.

Wetherspoon's pub, probably one of the best. Decent beer and decent food, what's not to like.

As mentioned in earlier reviews, a quieter 'Spoons with a slightly strange layout, but otherwise fairly standard. Fair enough if in the area.

This is a conversion of a pub but the building certainly doesn't look like an original pub. It takes up just the ground floor of this building which is good as it means getting to the toilets doesn't involve an Alpine expedition.
It's a roughly square carpeted room with a high ceiling and fairly typical furnishings crammed in. It wasn't overly busy on my Tuesday midday visit and most people had come here for food.
The bar has two sets of five hand pumps which had two available soon, two GK Abbots, London Pride, Ringwood Boon Doggle & 49er, Andwell Gold Muddler, Vibrant Forest Summit and Flack Manor Flack's Double Drop. I went for the Vibrant Forest beer (£2.49) which was in reasonably good nick.
This seemed a pleasanter Spoons than the rather manic more central ones in Southampton.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Admiral Sir Lucious Curtis (JD Wetherspoon)

Rather a dull-looking converted dockside building, but the interior has been furnished and decorated in regular 'spoons style. Despite being stuffed full of (well behaved) home football fans, the noise level wasn't too bad because of the high ceilings above each of the various seating areas. Only seven of ten handpumps were working, and service was a bit chaotic because of the numbers, but my pint of Celt Bronze Ale (£1.99) was good value. (NB - Review dates from August 2012.)
