Conversion of the one-time Duke of York from usual Café Rouge French stylebook with zinc counter, tessellated floor, tiled walls etc. Extends further back than appears at first, with slightly nicer areas behind the island bar including a private room and a tree-sheltered courtyard garden at the back. The only sign of its original pub origins is literally the sign, or at least the post. Beerwise, has Stella on tap and a small selection of bottles but you are more likely there for the food and wine.
