Corner pub with simple brewer's Tudor upper facades. Inside, the vestibule forms part of an angled 'L'-shaped bar, with a pool table at the other end. There is also an opening through to a quieter lounge. Limited decor and a mix of furniture, but the banquette seating has been given a partial refurbishment at some stage which leaves a rather curious effect. Four handpumps on the counter, offering Golden Delicious and Stairway to Heaven from Burton Bridge, Batham's Bitter (£2.60) and Rosie's Pig cider.

Lively bar with a pool table and TV screens showing sport. Small quieter area at rear . Good selection of real ales, including Bathams Bitter, at very reasonable prices.

A corner pub in white render and wood beam look, with etched windows.
The interior is roughly a U-shape around the serving bar. The decor is white and pale light green, with a couple of walls with a brown and silver wallpaper on, with a wood floor and purple seats. There was a nice tiled fireplace in the end area. Lots of TVs on, showing the footy, indeed one was been drilled in as we visited. There was no music. The service was fine and the place pretty busy with a mixed clientele. A few old pictures were dotted about, and there was a nice old grate and a barrel, which, along with the Holt's Brewery door windows supplied a bit of interest.
Beer; no real ale, Banks's MILD and bitter on keg. The bitter was ok.
Now really a sports bar with basic keg beer and several TV screens - more the kind of place you think of as being a 'younger' clientele base, but in fact it was very mixed. Real ale fans will pass it by.
