Hydes Brwery's other Stalybridge pub consists of an open room that was packed on my Saturday evening visit. It does have a nice garden with a verandah and a shelter.
The only beers I could see from the four hand pumps were Hydes and one called Open Casket (£2.85) which turned out to be from Brains and was in good nick.
I can't say I took to this pub but it's probably better at a quieter time.

Its a nice, if dark, pub next to the station. Went during the afternoon and not many in. The sound of trains rumbling past can be heard.

Smallish pub on 2 levels. The main room is all exposed brickwork and the furniture is mainly dining tables and chairs. There's another smaller room upstairs which has a pool table and a TV. The door to the outside area has a sign over it pointing to "Q Gardens", very amusing. I called in twice recently on a Friday afternoon, the pub was quiet with only a couple of other customers. Four handpumps serving 3 from Hyde and 2 guests. I tried a half of Tickety Brew Rose & Ginger Wheat beer which really was a crap beer. Not the pubs fault though, it's just a crap beer. Had a chat to the friendly barmaid who said the beer wasn't selling well! No surprises there then.
Called back later in the day at around 7 before getting my train when it was rather busier. Had a pint of the other guest, the name of which escapes me and then a half of the Hydes Beer Studio ale that was available (which is also Hydes really). Both were in good nick. A good little pub that I'll definitely call into again when in Stalybridge.
