Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The New Inn

Marston's local situated between Rowley Regis station and Blackheath town centre. Opened out at some stage to leave a 'U'-shaped bar / lounge with a separate pool room beyond, the former with some local history pictures and the latter with a 'Black Country alphabet' mural, and both with plain furniture. Wainwright (£2.90) and Jennings Hop Commotion available from two of three handpumps.

Soup Dragon left this review about The New Inn

A detached Banks's corner pub, mainly in cream render, with a rear patio area.

The interior is a U-shaped room around the serving bar that faces you on entry. The room does however have two areas, a lounge and bar. The lounge area is in a cream and red and it is here they serve their food (i didn't eat so can't comment on that). The room is decorated with mirrors and prints and has a small fireplace and a TV. The bar area is in a coffee and wood panel, blue ceiling and a chessboard pattern floor. It has a TV (not on) and a dartboard. A few old pictures and the front page of the New York Times for April 15th 1912 decorate the walls. There were a few locals in and the service was friendly.

Beer; tap stuff with Banks's bitter and a decent MILD on handpull.

Nice little place to stop for a couple, better than a one-pinter! Happy to go back.
