Discounting the advertised private bar and function room upstairs, the Seven Oaks is an open plan single room sports bar with four televisions that were showing three different matches during my visit on Wednesday evening last week. Naturally, the commentary was from the United game whilst the other matches were muted. There is a jukebox, which was off for the football. The U shaped bar counter on the right hand wall supports three hand pumps, one of which was unused leaving TT Landlord and Seven Oaks Golden Ale as the cask options. There is also a standard and premium keg selection.

Apart from the fact its rubbish there isn't much wrong with this place. Has a door that lets you enter and luckily the same door lets you get out. Has up to 4 types of vinegar for you to try.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Seven Oaks
Fairly basic city-centre pub, which stands out in the streetscape with its unusal (for the area) pale stonework exterior. Inside the small staple-shaped bar has some basic seating around the edge but the other customers were mostly perched on bar stools. The service was a bit haphazard, but both staff and customers were very friendly which gave the place a good pub atmosphere. Four handpumps offering the regular Black Sheep, TT Landlord and Hobgoblin plus Hawkshead Bitter (£3.00) as a guest.
