The building still has Old Bull lettered on the facade, but now comprises Harrys Bar at the front and the Bull and Royal which is accessed through an archway on the right. There are some tables and chairs in the courtyard, then a door on the left admits to the large bar area. There are three hand pumps on the bar, with Pennine Natural Gold, Fullers Olivers Island and Moorhouses Witchfinder General available at the time of my visit, of which I went for the last named. I can't remember what the beer was like, but the absence of a note to the contrary suggests that it was at least drinkable. (The gents toilet is up a few steps near the table football; there is a wheelchair accessible one at floor level, in the opposite direction near the ladies.)

Now called The Bull And Royal. Accessed from the main st via a courtyard. A large roomed pub that serves 2 cask ales. Pool tables are located at the far end.

This is a pretty good pub hidden away off the main street. Big screens for sports if you're into that sort of thing.
