Each of the stops on this tour is a well-above-average country inn, mostly offering accomodation, but all offering good ales, fine food and all are set in splendid walking country. Finish at Lanes for a superb dining experience where you can actually dress for dinner (if so inclined) and stay in a first class modern hotel.

The New Inn (1)
This 350 year old stone built pub offers decemt ales, good food and accomodation.
Royal Oak Inn (2)
Traditional country pub in the middle of nowhere but with excellent ales and decent pub grub. No accomodation but worth seeking out.
The Helyar Arms (3)
A 15th Century country village inn offering decent ales, good food and accomodation.
Sparkford Inn (4)
A large, comfortable country village inn with three atmospheric bar areas for eating or drinking as well as a restaurant. The ales and food are both excellent and accomodation is offered.
Lamb & Lark (5)
This country village pub doesn't do accomodation but it always has two well-kept ales and the food is really good.
Masons Arms (6)
A fine country village inn with its own microbrewery producing first class ales. The food is excellent and they do accomodation.
Lanes Hotel, Spa, Brasserie & Bar (7)
Outstanding restaurant and modern hotel with spa, etc. Only problem is one beer on tap. The only place on this tour you can dress for dinner. Go on - treat yourself.
