Title: The Sherborne Saunter
Creator: BobOs .

Description:
Many of the pubs in Sherborne are no longer the shining examples of alehouses they once were or, indeed, should be. Those that remain and are here selected, however, invariably have a decent ale or two. Consequently the number of houses included in this ramble through town is limited but it's always worth having two pints in each. The crawl breaks half-way for a fish and chip supper at Docherty's Bar and finishes at the Digby Tap where, on more than one occasion, the crawl has started, stayed and finished because of the range of wondrous guest ales on offer.

Switch to route map:

The White Hart (1)
A Hall & Woodhouse pub, so expect well-kpt pint of Tanglefoot, Fursty Ferret, etc.
Half Moon Hotel (2)
OK, but a Marston's pub and the ales can be a bit bland and variable.
Plume Of Feathers (3)
Usually decent ales. If it's a Friday and the live music is on you may not venture much further on this crawl (or return once you've had your fish & chips).
Docherty's Bar (4)
Your fish & chip supper awaits (you may have to wait for a seat). If you're having the 2 F&C suppers and a bottle deal, upgrade the wine. At any rate enjoy the home brew "257".
Britannia Inn (5)
You could have a swift one in here, alternatively just go straight to the Digby Tap across the road.
The Digby Tap (6)
Start the crawl here, or finish the crawl here, or stay for the whole crawl here - whatever you do don't omit it from the crawl!!!
