Rock & Roll Brewhouse, Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham

Have to check the opening hours carefully - even on a Saturday - they close at 6:30pm. As the patron pointed out to me, this is not a pub but a brewery and they are knackered after their hard work. One of those place that you could have a different experience on each visit. A sofa downstairs. Tightly packed upstairs. Pay attention and notice some nice little alcoves into the side. Small bar at far end. Friendly staff and great beer. Music paraphernalia all around and a good sound system. Worth seeking out.

We were lucky to get a table at this brewery tap near the centre of the Jewellery Quarter. The bar is up a flight of stairs and we overtook another couple who'd only got one face mask between them - one of the perils of modern day Covid drinking! My wife gave them a mask, as we climbed the stairs and they ended up waiting a little longer for a table to become free. The bar is decorated with all manner of music ephemera. Our table was a drum and drinks mats are 7" vinyl records, which makes for a very quirky drinking experience. The two ales on were She Brew The Fun & Voodoo Mild. They also had a Hogan's Perry. The Mild was quite drinkable. I'll hopefully be back here the next time I'm in the Jewellery Quarter, but opening hours are very limited.
