Entry is via a small doorway conspicuous only by it's bright yellow colour, then up a galvanised staircase. Walking in I encountered a room lit mostly by natural light through the roof, the smell of incense was heavy, the music was early 70s disco funk, I was half expecting to bump into Huggy Bear. An eclectic mix of seating furniture both in the centre of the room and in side alcoves including far too comfortable leather sofas and Kettle Drum tables. Music paraphanelia adorns the walls along with copies of old Melody Makers and other music magazines randomly spread about the place. There is also a small stage used for regular live music. The bar at the far end of the room had three handpumps offering three of the Brewerys own beers, in this case Natural Mystic, Voodoo Mild and Rise, I had two of the three and thoroughly enjoyed my visit, by the time I left the insense had run out and the music had changed genera to Reggae. Super Quirky, a great place.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Rock & Roll Brewhouse

Brewery tap directly above the production area, with a staircase that may restrict access to some? However, once there, you find a covered seating area with just enough space for a small stage for the regular live music, seemingly built on top of the original building. Three beers available on handpump, including the Voodoo Mild (£4.00), a green hop NEIPA and a 'real lager.

Have to check the opening hours carefully - even on a Saturday - they close at 6:30pm. As the patron pointed out to me, this is not a pub but a brewery and they are knackered after their hard work.

One of those place that you could have a different experience on each visit. A sofa downstairs. Tightly packed upstairs. Pay attention and notice some nice little alcoves into the side.

Small bar at far end. Friendly staff and great beer.

Music paraphernalia all around and a good sound system.

Worth seeking out.

We were lucky to get a table at this brewery tap near the centre of the Jewellery Quarter. The bar is up a flight of stairs and we overtook another couple who'd only got one face mask between them - one of the perils of modern day Covid drinking! My wife gave them a mask, as we climbed the stairs and they ended up waiting a little longer for a table to become free.

The bar is decorated with all manner of music ephemera. Our table was a drum and drinks mats are 7" vinyl records, which makes for a very quirky drinking experience. The two ales on were She Brew The Fun & Voodoo Mild. They also had a Hogan's Perry. The Mild was quite drinkable.

I'll hopefully be back here the next time I'm in the Jewellery Quarter, but opening hours are very limited.
