The Lounge is situated on the busy high street on the opposite side of a small square to the closed Crown Hotel. Once inside there is a longish narrow oblong shaped room which runs to the rear of the bar,the serving bar runs down the right side,there is leather seating to the front and in bays on the left side,there was also two small tables in the middle area. The place was heaving when i visited at dinnertime,so i decided to come back here a bit later in the day,it was still busy but i got a seat. There are no real ales on the bar,no keg bitters either,but there was a selection of main stream bottled bitters in a fridge,i opted for a drink of Guinness which was ok. There was some pretty poor modern music playing,but this probably suits most customers in here. This is not really a place to have drink in, like i did. Pub visited 7/12/2013
