The Vine, Cheltenham

From the outside it looks like an old school Victorian boozer with period green and red tiling. Inside its more of a modern French style bistro with a minimalist décor of painted wood panel walls, exposed brick fireplace, stone flagged floor and plain wooden tables and chairs. Seems to focus more on food than wet sales and a Thai menu was being promoted. There are four pumps on the bar, one for Old Rosie Cider and then three Ale pumps. Hook Norton Hooky , Doombar and Cotswold Spring Brewery Stunner were on for my visit and the latter was a good pint. Most people in on Saturday lunch timer were eating , thus leading me to believe this is probably more utilised for its food, especially also as it doesn’t open till 4.30pm on a Monday to Thursday and the Kitchen open times almost mirror the pub opening times but I found it comfortable enough for a pint, but if I was to return I would favour the nearby Swan as perhaps more of a pub.
