Pier House, St. Austell

The public bar in here is a small room with a tiny bar counter, but which nevertheless managed to find room for four handpumps when I was in here at the weekend. The ales on were Doom Bar, Bass, Skinner's Cornish Knocker and St Austell Special. The Cornish Knocker was in fine shape. Food was available all day. The room itself is very nice, with an attractive brick fireplace, loads of nautical themed bric a brac around the place, is nicely carpeted and has several of those small round copper covered tables. Outside seating is provided on a terrace at the front of the hotel overlooking the harbour. This is a lovely little bar, as is sitting on the terrace on a sunny day. Unfortunately I only had time for the one visit here.
