The Lord Wimborne (JD Wetherspoon), Poole

A very large Wetherspoon's selling a good range of real ales which were in very good order.

A large Wetherspoons, and in a fairly typical Wetherspoons style. One of my most visited pubs, although this is more to do with the price and quality of the beer than the atmosphere, which often leave much to be desired. The staff are very variable, there are as many friendly staff there as those that seem to be waiting to leave. Having said this, the beer is always well kept, and although I have had several unsavoury beers, this being due to the constant changing of breweries, I have never had an off pint. There are regular festivals here, most recently changing 8 of their pumps to different beers every day for just over a fortnight. Overall a nice pub, well worth a visit, and just far enough from the quay to avoid most of the crowds.
