Fighting Cocks, Durham

The Fighting Cocks is situated on a steep hill just off the main shopping area. Once inside there is a single room which runs to the rear,the seating is bench seating and and chairs plus normal tables and chairs to the front,the bar is on the left side,there is a small raised area to the rear left which has normal tables and chairs. There was one real ale on the bar which was Bombardier,this was a decent enough drink. There was background music playing which was decent. I was happy enough having a drink in this pub. Pub visited 19/3/2016

Looked in twice over the few days I had in town, despite two handpumps there was no ale on either time and a perceived indifference. Shame as the pub is in a prominent location.
