I think that most people know the O’Niells set up and this place is no different when it comes to the drinks and cheap food, but the converted church location is worth a look. The floor area is huge and there is seating up in the gallery areas along with another bar that always seems to be closed when I pop in. During the day this place is very quiet and on a weeknight when there is a football match on it gets a little busier, but when a London derby or international rugby game is on it gets packed due to the plasma and projector screens found throughout. At the weekend there is a late license and music so it is usually heaving with young boys and girls on the pull and I’ve always found the atmosphere to be friendly enough, which is probably due to the door staff keeping the trouble makers away. I wouldn’t plan to go here for a night out, but it is the sort of place one ends up visiting on the spur of the moment.
