The Wharf Tavern, Stalybridge

One of the 'flat iron' style of pubs. Nice enough but with inconvenient midweek opening hours.

A very neat and tidy pub with fairly old fashioned decor. As you enter there's a small comfortable snug to the right, the main area is to the left. There's also a large function room at the other side of the bar. There's some nice tiling and a dartboard and the pub does accomodation. 3 ales available on the bar Thwaites Wainwright & Lancaster Bomber plus Bombardier. I had a chat with the friendly landlady whilst supping my Wainwright which was in good condition. This is a proper pub and long may it continue to be.

A nice pub in Stalybridge where i have stayed many times.The pub has been in the same family for over fifty years and you are made very welcome.Car park at the rear great breakfast and good cask beers.
