As mentioned below, this is a curious mix of old and new - I'm assuming that this was once a bookshop called Shaw's? Split level, mixed furniture, panelling to walls and ceiling with a white and dark grey colour scheme and muted music. Ales: Fuller's London Pride and Red Fox. Not bad if passing and miles better than Rudd's down the road.

I’ve been in a few Fullers Ale and Pie Houses before, but this Fullers establishment advertises itself as a Pub and Eating House which is probably to try and draw in more of the city boys and their fat wallets. It seems to work as it was heaving when I visited before Christmas, so much so that it was extremely difficult to get to the bar. I did manage to spot some premium draught products and surprisingly there were only two hand pumps that were drawing Pride and Jack Frost. Food is available, but it is quite pricey coming in at around the £12 mark for a main. There is a plasma screen that was off during my visit and this place has no Sky Sports, although there was some background music that was inaudible due to the din of chatting suits. This is not really my sort of pub and I think that there are many better in the immediate area so I’ll not be returning any time soon.
