Kingswood Arms, Tadworth

A large, well maintained old pub with interesting nooks and crannies, and a variety of agricultural implements hanging from the ceiling. I found it very welcoming, the main bar feeling like a good drinking area whilst 'the conservatory' room to the left was set up for dining. Both seemed populated with a range of customers. There is also a room at the front known as 'the study' which is bookable for functions. The were two banks of 5 ale pumps behind the bar, servicing Harvey's Sussex (a well looked after pint at £3.40), Pride, Directors, Young's Bitter and Adnams Broadside as of Sunday. I didn't look at the food menu, though the admittedly tasty-sounding 'light bites' advertised at the bar at £8.95 suggested to me it wouldn't be cheap. A poster in the gents also advertised that you can book a private barbecue. A worthwhile pub to visit and I daresay I'll be here again when in the area.
