Y Pentan, Mold

I was a bit wary of this one while approaching it as the signage outside says Bar & Restaurant. Inside it turned out to be a fairly normal two bar pub. I went in the smaller public side and couldn't see if there is actually a dining area on the other side. The small side I was in had a tiled floor and a prominent TV that was silent but showing a repeat of an episode of Bruce's The Price Is Right with subtitles. I'll never say a word against rolling news again. There were a couple of hand pumps on the bar and several more in the larger bar. Four beers were available and were GK Flanders Fields, Ringwood Fortyniner, Theakston Best and Titanic Plum Porter. I went for the Plum Porter (£3.30) which was in good nick. Despite the TV programme I quite liked it here.
