I was a bit wary of this one while approaching it as the signage outside says Bar & Restaurant. Inside it turned out to be a fairly normal two bar pub. I went in the smaller public side and couldn't see if there is actually a dining area on the other side. The small side I was in had a tiled floor and a prominent TV that was silent but showing a repeat of an episode of Bruce's The Price Is Right with subtitles. I'll never say a word against rolling news again.
There were a couple of hand pumps on the bar and several more in the larger bar. Four beers were available and were GK Flanders Fields, Ringwood Fortyniner, Theakston Best and Titanic Plum Porter. I went for the Plum Porter (£3.30) which was in good nick.
Despite the TV programme I quite liked it here.

This 2 roomed pub has a smart, larger room to the left and a smaller more scruffy bar to the right. Each room has its own servery. The larger room has a couple of video arcade style games and is L-shaped. The smaller bar houses a dartboard and most of the handpumps. There can be up to 4 real ales on offer.

A two bar town centre pub which is a cafe style eatery at lunchtime and changes to a music entertainment venue in the evening where the younger customers congregate. Real Ale available (Old Speckled Hen on my visit).
