The British Lion is a proper pub on a busy road it had one room and there were three pumps on the bar i had a drink of Archers Village and this was quite a nice drink there was also Hop Back Summer Lightening and a beer called Ironside but i dont know who brews this beer. I would have happily stayed for a few more here.

Had a quick bus ride into Devizes for a look round the pubs and enjoyed my visit to this one. It is a single bar free house in the centre of town, and we enjoyed Hancocks HB and Butts Traditional.

This is the place to be. A proper boozer! Four ales are always on tap that rotate and change regularly, as well as traditional cider. They are CAMRA supporters, and support local brewers Three Castles, Bath Ales, Abbey Ales, Hop Back Brewies and many many many more! They have a brillinat jukebox with a wide variety of music genres and on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday the ambience is great! It also has a fantastic beer garden and in general has bags of character-a fan for the more old skool generation who belive pubs are for talking and drinking! A place to be if you want to be a local!
