White Hart, Crawley

This is the only Crawley pub I had visited previously well over thirty years ago. My vague recollection of it from then was that it was quite a basic town pub and the Harvey's Best was rank. The reason for coming to Creepy Crawley that day was to try this Harvey's pub. Quite honestly I thought it was pretty awful all those years ago and while it's never going to be one of their classic pubs it is now a worthwhile place. As mentioned below there are two bars and I went in the left one. Both are carpeted and the right bar has some wood panelling. There is a small dining room and a patio at the rear. Four Harvey's beers were available IPA, Best, Old and Lewes Castle Brown. I went for the Brown (£3.90) which was in good condition. I thought that this along with the Old was rather expensive but the IPA is better value at £2.90. I'm glad it's greatly improved from my visit back in the day and this one, the Spoons and the Brewery Shades form a handy trio of pubs that require little more than crossing a road.
