The Pear & Partridge, Wolverhampton

This is a good family pub, great atmosphere and it has been refitted out in June 2010. helpful staff made my visit a pleasure.

I think this is an M&B pub (there were no signs and I couldn’t be bothered to ask) which was built around the late 70’s early 80’s. A one room open plan layout, as you enter there is a bar/games area to the right with two pool tables, a football table, dart board and two flat screen TV’s all crammed into quite a small area. There is a large L shaped bar counter at the back on the right, ahead and to the left is a lounge/dining area with a small fireplace and two TV’s. On the walls are paintings of various birds and on the back wall there are two large cabinets which display sporting trophies. Regular ales are Wells Bombardier and Green King Abbot Ale with no changing guests. Large menu with some very cheap deals, Beer was ok on my visit but the place is very bland and easily forgotten, there are much better pubs in and near Wolverhampton therefore it’s not really worth the bus fair or the petrol, I don’t think I will be returning any time soon.
