Beckets Inn, Glastonbury

Hmmm... very strange - two sole reviews raving about this average establishment and both giving it 10/10 within a couple of weeks of each other? (Don't they realise the perfect pub only exists in mine own fertile imagination?). Methinks I smell a rat!

What to say? I've been drinking here for fifteen years, and insulted by John for all of them. I've learned to give back as good as I get...and since he got married to landlady Brigid, he has mellowed a little. Only a little :-) Beckets wouldn't be Beckets without him. Wonderful cellar, the best jukebox in town (Alice Cooper to Ella Fitzgerald to The Wurzels, with everything you can think of in between). A robin who comes and sits on the edge of your glass, asking to be fed. A dog who has to be retrieved from the carpark every ten minutes. An open fire from November to March. Food not served-so take in your own. Plates and cutlery provided on request! And Beckets has the best ambience in Glastonbury. What more could anyone ask?
