The Anglers, Teddington

Walking along the thames path and couldn't resist popping into a couple of the nicer looking pubs. This is a great location, at the end of Teddington Lock. Garden, Smoking Area and inside very much geared to food. Decent pint of London Pride. This pub is essentially unchanged from that described by previous posters. When I was in there on Monday lunchtime the outside garden area was really one big kids’ club, and although there must have been 30 to 40 of them outside playing, etc, they were surprisingly quite well behaved. I had a bite to eat on this occasion, and although it’s not classic pub grub, I thought the standard was quite acceptable – the club sandwich was a substantial meal for £7+. This pub’s enviable location means that it gets desperately crowded on a nice day at the weekend. It was doing a very good trade – mainly froms mums and their offspring – when I wan in on Monday. This is quite a decent pub despite the crowds, and I imagine that I’ll visit again sometime.
