The Bedford Arms, Rye

This is very much a local's pub, but the governor was very polite and I didn't feel unwelcome at any point. After a couple of pints the wife and I did decide to leave as we ended up being surrounded by kids and we went away for the weekend to escape that. There were two Harvey's Best hand pumps behind the small bar along with an unused pump and a very limited draught selection. There is a pool table at the back of the pub by an out of order pinball machine. There is also a very good juke box on the wall next to the gents toilets at the rear. There is a dartboard in the main bar area and a TV in both areas, one of which was showing boxing on Eurosport. This place needs some TLC and it is not that big a place and it certainly doesn't have enough room for the wooden objects stored along the front wall. I'm not sure that I would go back if I was ever in Rye again.
