The Old Ship Inn, Weymouth

This was the first of Upwey's 2 pubs that we tried late on Saturday afternoon. It was the quietest of the two, but my favourite. Doom Bar is the regular ale. On this visit, Hobgoblin was the guest. Just a couple of other customers were present when we arrived and one of those soon left. But the remaining customer and the young barman proved to be friendly and chatty. The customer was introducing the barman to various music tracks using Alexa. I Am a Cider Drinker by the Wurzels was played followed by something about a hole. I recommended Ernie (the Fastest Milkman in the West) which seemed to go down very well, with the barman adding it to his playlist. I fear for the good people of Upwey!
