Not as good as Tanners Hall but OK as a Spoons, I suppose. Worth dropping in for a pint.

Last pub before the train home and what a dump this place is. Will come back to the station at the other end when next I visit Darlington.

Weak Real Ale in a pleasantly turned out pub meant I had to resort to cider. Get some decent ale in to warrant a revisit.

No real ale in here, just lagers and cider. Nice open fire at the far end though.

One room pub with, happily, ESB on draught. Pleasant enough place for a drink.

For a Saturday afternoon, this was a quiet pub. Some loud people came in to ask where a TV set was. Happily they left once gaining directions. Abbot Ale on draught was OK but there was a strange smell that permeated the atmosphere.

Decent large conversion which was rather quiet for a Saturday afternoon. ESB on draught was a fine choice but I doubt if I'll be back.

Weak real ale I'm afraid, which does little for me. If it had something decent on it would be worth going back to.

Weak real ale again although this pub was by far the busiest I'd been in so far. Football results on the TVs may explain this.

At last, a pub that gets a revisit stamp! I had Abduction which was excellent and the choice was extensive - 15 keg, 14 real ales and bottles in fridges. There was a price list to the left of the bar that showed increases in price subject to the ABV ... [more>]

Last pub on my crawl and what a change from the Cask. No real ale and many drunken loud Irish voices could be heard above the TVs. Not one to revisit.

This appears to be a restaurant.

Pleasant enough corner pub with decent strength own seasonal ale (5.2%). Not as busy as I had expected so got a seat easily enough. Worth a revisit.

Not much to shout about with this one. London Pride, lagers and burgers on the menu.

Half restaurant and half seating area for drinkers - nothing special ale wise.
