Will Larter left this review about Whaley Nook

A small micro on a narrow road just outside Whaley Bridge's town centre. I was staying nearby and driving to Wigan to watch the Leeds Rhinos in an end of season game, so just had time for a swift half, though parking my car on this cluttered street took up some of my drinking time. The bar is in the front room of a small shop unit, with a further area of seating to the rear in what may have been a store room when this was a shop. At around 5pm on a Friday the place was full to bursting and I had to find somewhere to lean on where I could place my beer and write some notes regarding my visit. There are four hand pumps on the bar, with two beers from Eyam, one from Abbeydale and one from nearby Chapel en le Frith. I went for the latter, a session pale called Savinjski which wasn't very good (NBSS 2). My notes made at the time suggest that there were too many beers on, the blackboard (see photo) listing seven keg taps as well as the real ales mentioned.
