Brainy Pool left this review about Concho Lounge
formerly the rubbish Newquay Arms and now a cafe bar which may still be rubbish. dimly lit and the decor is going straight over my head i'm afraid, all portraits of either obscure or unknown people with hardly any wall space empty. no real ale and expensive keg Goose IPA is probably as good as the beer gets here. one suspects it is not really aimed at your typical beer drinkers anyway. with all of that said, it's less brassy and in your face than the nearby venues and is probably a good place for couples later on. file under: pretentious poser venue
