A decent micropub named after the nearby Skew Bridge, which was the first bridge to carry a road over a railway, built in 1829 by George Stephenson. This micro consists of a square shaped room, with the bar running along the back wall, which had an oak counter top and a white tiled bar front. There was banquette seating along the right hand side wall and some high tables and stools, positioned down the middle of the room. Shelving along with high stools providing further drinking space along the left hand side wall. Six handpumps with four in use on our visit, I went for the Big Bog Brewery Will O The Wisp, which was outstanding. The pub wasn't too busy on our Tuesday eve visit, nevertheless the few customers who were in were all very friendly and chatty. This micro opens 7 days a week and there is also a very good bottle shop across the road, called The Hop House which had some very interesting beers.

A pleasant micropub situated in a small shopping arcade. 6 handpumps on the bar but only 4 on today featuring beers from Melwood, Red Star, Big Bog and Outstanding.
