The Moor Brewery Beer Tap is set in an light industrial are just off the City Centre.
Once inside the bar faces in a decent sized oblong shaped room which runs the width of the pub.
The seating is wood bench seats which s typical of a brewery tap.
There were lots of keg beers from Moor Brewery which were behind the bar,i did not have the faintest idea which one to have so asked the friendly barman,i ended having a drink of Moor Nor'hop, which was a decent enough drink to end my Bristol crawl on,the other keg beers i noted were Fusion and So'hop, there were loads more keg beers i failed to note.
I had a good chat with a younger bloke who was stood at the bar after i asked him how to walk to Temple Meads station,in conversation he called my home town Gunningham,it surely is not that bad now.
This is not really my type of pub.

A recent opening in a somewhat industrial area, this is, as it’s name suggests, very much a brewery tap for the adjacent Moor brewery rather than your conventional pub. As such, the only alcoholic drinks available are their own beers; no other beer, lager, cider, wine, gin & tonic, or anything else. If you don’t want one of their beers, your only other options are soft or hot drinks.

The greater part of the building is the brewery and this is a modern looking industrial unit. The pub looks rather like an office tacked on to the front of it, and with it’s uPVC entrance door it certainly doesn’t have any sort of traditional pub ambience. The industrial look continues inside with a grey lino type material on the floor, plain whitewashed walls and a stainless steel bar counter. Seating was a mixture of long wooden benches and plastic stools and the only features of any note were some Star Wars paraphernalia that tied in with their “Empire Strikes Back” beer. This includes a model Darth Vader clutching a can of the beer and an advertisement poster featuring the same character and signed by David Prowse, the local actor who played him. Various Moor Brewery merchandise was available to purchase.

As previously mentioned, the beers on tap were all their own and were all keg rather than cask. On this occasion, they were Nor’hop, So’hop, Claudia, Smokey Horyzon, Radiance, TFA, Stout, Old Freddy Walker and Empire Strikes Back. They were also available in one third and two thirds measures as well as the more usual half and pint. Staff seemed friendly and helpful and looked the part with their hipster beards and woolly hats, and if you like Moor beer I’m sure this is the best place to try them. But if you’re after something a bit more pub like, this may not be for you. Be aware also that opening hours are restricted, so check before you travel.
