A former post office which now houses one of the larger branches of this chain. The building goes quite a way back and has a tiled floor, so it’s a bit echoey when empty, though it does have more of a continental feel than some branches. The staff were pleasant enough anyway, and the clientele were what was left when the more pretentious element went to other nearby pseudopubs. No real ale of course, just Stella Artois dispensed from a large hydrant on the bar, making it feel a bit like the set of a TV advert. Plus ca change, plus c’est la meme chose.
