I was staying in the hotel, late April, out of season
The other room to rear that Blackthorn mentions is the breakfast room, not a bar as such
The area is comfy enough, staff [all Romanian BTW] were polite & helpful
All beer & cider is keg, which some may prefer, so unless staying here, as I was, no real reason to use with a Wetherspoo's & a Marston's within easy walking distance ale lovers my decide to use them

This very much has the feel of a hotel bar rather than a pub that just happens to be attached to a hotel as is the case with some establishments. The large patio area at the front must be a pleasant spot in the warmer weather, but there seems little reason to visit if you’re going to sit inside.
The main lounge at the front looks to be geared up for dining and is probably where the residents eat breakfast. In fact it had a distinct smell of stale food to it. Not all the tables were laid up though, so there was no problem just sitting in here and having a pint. In fact the eastern European barmaid helpfully informed us that we could “sit wherever we liked”. There are large windows all along the front which make the most of the sea views, whilst the flooring was patterned blue carpet and the paintwork cream. There were various pot plants dotted around and some modern art work on the walls.
In a smaller room behind this was the bar counter and there were a couple of punters sat on stools there which were the only other customers. There may be another room down a few steps at the rear, but this was blocked off by tins of paint and such like so presumably there is some decorating work in progress.
Beers on tap were Bombardier and Courage Best, although unusually these were both keg. Ciders were Thatcher’s Gold, Strongbow and Strongbow Pear.
