Worst pub of the day, I'm afraid. Only Doombore on hand pump and the rest keg rubbish. I hope it was better when it was the Brewery Tap but as it currently stands not worth bothering with.

Alan Winfield left this review about The Brewery Tap

The Brewery Tap is Ilkestons latest pub to open, the pub is more of a micro type outlet.
Once inside there was a smallish oblong shaped room, the bar was up one step to the right, there were a couple of normal tables and chairs opposite the bar,the left side had more tables and chairs, the floor was part laminate and tiled.
The pub is run by Muirhouse brewery, but they do have guest beers on,i had a drink of Muirhouse Shunters Pole which was a really nice well kept beer, the other beers were Muirhouse Laura Laura,Great Oakley Oakley Blonde and Wentwell Justice for Ginger, there was also a real cider.
The bar was fairly busy on my late Saturday afternoon vist,i quite liked it here, the service was friendly and the place had a nice laid back feel to it.
This is another great addition the the real ale scene in Ilkeston.
You can now have decent crawl of top real ale pubs starting from the General Havelock then Spanish Bar,Poacher and ending in the Brewery Tap.

Update: The old Brewery Tap pub has reopened in a new guise and is now called Legs.
The inside is pretty much as it was was,but there are now more keg lagers on the bar,but there was a single hand pump with Doom Bar on,which was decent enough.

Real Ale Ray left this review about The Brewery Tap

We also enjoyed our visit here and agree with Alan, that it fits in nicely with the other good real ale pubs further down the street. You can unmistakeably see that this is the Muirhouse Brewery Tap, as the LH side walls are painted in bands of red, yellow and black. There was a steady flow of people in and out on our Fri afternoon visit. The manageress was friendly and chatty and so too were the other drinkers. There were four ales and two ciders on this visit. I went for the Muirhouse Richard's Tipple and Milton Sparta. The pub was opened the end of July 2013.
